Job Description
Job Title: Procurement Specialist – Dry Goods & Packaging (Temporary – 6 months) Role Summary: Temporary procurement specialist responsible for ensuring continuous availability of dry packaging materials (cartons, boxes, caps, accessories, labels, etc.) for a spirits production operation. Works closely with internal planning, forecasting, and production teams to secure supply at optimal cost and timing based on pre‑production and delivery points. Expectations: - Deliver timely, cost‑effective supplies within supplier negotiated terms. - Manage medium‑term ordering cycle, from need assessment to final payment reconciliation. - Maintain accurate ERP data and production‑related documentation. - Align with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and cross‑functional teams to resolve supply disruptions and quality incidents. Key Responsibilities: 1. Plan and secure sourcing based on PIC/PDP, CBN, inventory status, and pending orders. 2. Place, monitor, and follow up on purchase orders; prioritize and resolve delivery delays. 3. Configure and update stock/order parameters (MOQ, lot size, safety stock, coverage, tiers). 4. Foster supplier relationships: forecast alignment, adjustment coordination, and commitment tracking. 5. Address disruptions (delays, stock‑out risk, variances) in coordination with Forecasting, Planning, and Bottling teams. 6. Handle quality incidents with Quality, Purchasing, and Production teams. 7. Maintain ERP records – dates, stock levels, key information – and process invoice adjustments. 8. Collaborate with Technical Data Service to update bill of materials. 9. Track supply chain KPIs: service rate, stockouts, inventory turnover, OTIF. Required Skills: - Strong procurement and supply‑chain experience, preferably in packaging or industrial sector. - Advanced ERP proficiency (article master data, supplier portfolio, orders, order parameters). - Ability to prioritize, follow‑up, and arbitrate under tight deadlines and supplier dependencies. - Experience tracking KPIs and interpreting inventory/service/cost drivers. - Self‑directed, pragmatic, with quick learning curve. - Clear communication across multiple internal interfaces and external suppliers. - Demonstrated focus on efficiency and simplicity. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field. - Relevant procurement certifications (e.g., CPSM, CIPS, or equivalent) preferred but not mandatory.
