Job Description
Job title: Project Manager Role Summary: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multi‑year transit program initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, stakeholder expectations, and budgetary constraints. Expactations: Deliver projects on aggressive timelines by applying both Waterfall and Agile methodologies, managing risks, resources, and change to secure stakeholder buy‑in and project success. Key Responsibilities • Develop comprehensive project plans, define scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines. • Coordinate internal teams, vendors, and third‑party stakeholders to stay within baselines. • Lead, coach, and manage project staff, fostering a collaborative PMO environment. • Facilitate cross‑functional communication and resolve conflicts within projects. • Build trusted relationships with sponsors, communicate status, risks, and issues to executives. • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues. • Build and control project budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure adherence to financial constraints. • Lead transformation and change‑management efforts to support solution adoption. • Evaluate and refine project management processes, promoting continuous improvement. Required Skills • Strong strategic leadership and stakeholder management. • Proficient in Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, and PMO tools. • Expertise in Waterfall and Agile (Certified Scrum Master). • Effective risk, issue, budget, and resource management. • Excellent communication, coaching, conflict‑resolution, and change‑management abilities. Required Education & Certifications • Minimum of 9 years managing multiple IT and business projects (with equivalency credit for higher degrees). • PMP and CSM certifications required. • Associates degree counts as 2 years of experience; Bachelor’s or higher counts as 4 years. ---
