Job Description
**Job Title:** IT Internship – Summer 2026 **Role Summary:** A 10‑12 week internship for a U.S. citizen student in an engineering or information‑technology discipline, focusing on supporting the organization’s IT operations, systems administration, and cybersecurity tasks in a fast‑paced defense‑technology environment. **Expectations:** - Current undergraduate or graduate student with at least one semester remaining. - U.S. citizenship; no work‑authorization sponsorship. - Ability to work in a collaborative, rapid‑change setting. - Passion for aerospace or defense technology. - Strong problem‑solving and communication skills. - Physically capable of performing light lifting (≤ 50 lb) and standard office duties. **Key Responsibilities:** - Assist with day‑to‑day IT support, including user ticket resolution and hardware/software troubleshooting. - Participate in system administration tasks: patch management, account provisioning, and network monitoring. - Support cybersecurity initiatives: vulnerability scanning, incident response drills, and security awareness outreach. - Contribute to IT project documentation and project management tools. - Aid in the testing and deployment of software/tools relevant to aerospace/defense applications. - Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to gather requirements and provide technical solutions. **Required Skills:** - Basic understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux) and office productivity suites. - Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VPN, Wi‑Fi). - Ability to learn and apply scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python) as needed. - Strong written and verbal communication with technical and non‑technical stakeholders. - Effective teamwork and time‑management in a dynamic environment. - Attention to detail and commitment to safety procedures. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related field. - Minimum 3.0 GPA (preferred 3.5), 6+ months of prior internship with applicable IT responsibilities is highly preferred. - U.S. citizenship; eligibility for a U.S. Security Clearance may be required. ---
