Job title: Backend Developer
Role Summary: Develop and maintain high‑performance, secure RESTful APIs in C#/.NET Core, design data and service layers, and collaborate with front‑end, data science, and product teams in a fast‑paced, research‑driven environment.
Expactations: Deliver scalable backend solutions that meet performance, security, and data integrity requirements; participate in Agile development, code reviews, CI/CD, and architectural discussions; ensure thorough testing and documentation; grow proficiency in cloud services (AWS), authentication, and database optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain RESTful APIs using C#/.NET Core.
- Architect secure, scalable systems that accommodate user growth.
- Develop and optimize SQL databases, stored procedures, and query performance.
- Implement authentication, authorization, and data validation frameworks.
- Integrate APIs with front‑end React interfaces.
- Conduct testing with Postman, nGrok, and other tools.
- Participate in Agile sprints, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Define backend architecture standards and contribute to technical design.
Required Skills:
- 2+ years of back‑end or full‑stack development experience.
- Strong proficiency in C#, .NET Core, SQL, T‑SQL, and RESTful API development.
- Experience with authentication systems (cookies, tokens, OAuth2).
- Knowledge of role‑based access control, data security, and network optimization.
- Familiarity with AWS S3, Git, Postman, cloud environments.
- Background in database design, query optimization, Agile methodologies, and CI/CD.
- Bonus: integration of analytics/automation tools in backend systems.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (preferred).
- Authorization to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship required).
