Job Description
**Job Title** Social Agent – EHPAD (F/M) **Role Summary** Provide coordinated social support and personal care to residents of an elderly care facility (EHPAD). Facilitate daily activity participation, hygiene, comfort, and emotional well‑being while collaborating with nursing, dietary, and administrative teams. Contribute to care planning, quality management, and training of new staff. **Expectations** - Maintain professional, respectful relationships with residents, families, and multidisciplinary staff. - Demonstrate empathy, active listening, and confidentiality. - Adapt to shifting priorities, schedules, and emergency situations. - Uphold standards of safety, hygiene, and quality of care. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Undertake hygiene and comfort care for all residents. 2. Assist residents in daily living activities, respecting physical and psychological limits. 3. Participate in pain assessment and management planning. 4. Co‑develop and implement individual care plans with nursing staff. 5. Offer emotional support and information to families and relatives. 6. Support nutritional interventions in partnership with the dietitian, including monitoring undernourishment. 7. Record and trace all care actions accurately. 8. Ensure continuity of care through targeted hand‑over communications. 9. Attend and contribute to care plan review meetings and PAI updates. 10. Maintain cleanliness of shared and individual spaces; perform bio‑cleaning and disinfection per protocols. 11. Manage waste segregation and disposal. 12. Support hotel‑style services: breakfast preparation, meal service, dishwashing, and laundry of beds. 13. Identify and report facility maintenance issues. 14. Facilitate the practical training and assessment of new social care assistants. 15. Participate in ongoing quality and risk‑management initiatives. 16. Promote “bénignité” (positive treatment and dignity) throughout the organization. **Required Skills** - Knowledge of geriatric care and hygiene protocols. - Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team. - Strong interpersonal and communicative competence. - Organizational, analytical, and time‑management ability. - Proactive problem‑solving and adaptability. - Precise documentation and confidentiality adherence. - Basic computer literacy (care record systems). - Commitment to continuous professional development. **Required Education & Certifications** - BEP Carrières Sanitaires et Sociales (or equivalent, e.g., Bac Pro Services de proximité et vie locale). - Minimum one internship or work experience in a geriatric or long‑term care setting. - Understanding of French health‑care regulations is advantageous but not mandatory for global paring.
