Job Description
**Job Title** Social Worker – Temporary Care Home (M/F) **Role Summary** Provide social, hygienic, and basic nursing support to elderly residents in a day-care and temporary residency setting. Work under nursing staff, ensuring resident dignity, safety, and comfort through routine care, environmental maintenance, and hospitality services. **Expectations** - Deliver person‑centred care and assistance in daily living activities. - Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of shared and private areas. - Foster a welcoming, respectful environment for residents, families, and staff. - Contribute to care planning, pain assessment, and nutritional support in collaboration with multidisciplinary team. - Follow all health‑and‑safety protocols, reporting incidents and maintenance issues promptly. **Key Responsibilities** - Perform cleaning, bio‑sanitation, and disinfection of communal and individual spaces. - Manage waste disposal and coordinate supply needs. - Prepare and perform breakfast services, table service, and dishwashing. - Repair and maintain bed linens and small equipment. - Identify and report any equipment or facility malfunctions. - Assist residents with personal hygiene and comfort care. - Support residents in daily living tasks, respecting physical and psychological limits. - Participate in pain monitoring, care‑plan creation, and implementation. - Address family visits, welcoming, and support. - Collaborate with dietitians on care for malnourished residents. **Required Skills** - Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. - Strong empathy, active listening, and compassionate communication. - Organizational, analytical, and responsive problem‑solving abilities. - Initiative, teamwork, and professional discretion. - Adherence to confidentiality and professional boundaries. - Commitment to public service values. **Required Education & Certifications** - Certificate (BEP) in Healthcare Careers or Equivalent (e.g., BEPA Services to People). - Minimum one year of internship or work experience in geriatric care. - Valid professional title or contractual employment (CDD) in a social/health setting.
