Job Description: Job title: Backend Developer – Java/Spring Role Summary: Design, build, and maintain high‑performance backend services for an environmental monitoring platform, collaborating closely with product, front‑end, and architecture teams. Expactations: Deliver scalable, robust features using Java 21/Spring; actively contribute to system architecture, performance tuning, and tech‑stack decisions; communicate progress and challenges clearly with cross‑functional stakeholders; work independently while supporting team initiatives. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement backend features and services in Java 21/Spring. - Participate in front‑end development (React 18/TypeScript) as needed. - Collaborate on architecture and technical design choices with product managers, designers, and architects. - Optimize application performance and scalability; manage database interactions (MySQL, MongoDB, Redis). - Conduct unit and integration testing; maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Docker, Maven). - Perform technology scouting and propose enhancements. - Draft clear documentation for APIs and deployment procedures. Required Skills: - 3+ years of professional Java development experience in complex projects. - Deep proficiency with Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Security). - Solid understanding of RESTful API design, microservices, and containerization. - Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL, MongoDB). - Familiarity with caching (Redis) and background processing. - Knowledge of front‑end technologies (React, TypeScript) and build tools (Vite, Tailwind). - Python 3 exposure preferable. - Strong algorithmic thinking and performance‑oriented mindset. - Self‑driven, collaborative communication skills.
