Job Description
Job title IT/Infrastructure Manager Role Summary Lead and develop a small IT team while remaining actively engaged in day‑to‑day operations. Manage core infrastructure services, incident and problem resolution, and drive process improvement and governance across the IT environment. Expactations • Hands‑on technical leadership rather than purely managerial duties. • Proactive ownership of infrastructure health and operational excellence. • Ability to balance team development with direct technical support. • Clear communication with internal stakeholders and external MSPs. Key Responsibilities - Manage and develop a team of up to 6 IT Analysts. - Oversee incident and problem management processes. - Maintain and support on‑premises Active Directory and related Group Policies. - Support and enhance networking infrastructure (LAN/WAN). - Work across cloud platforms (AWS or Azure). - Drive process improvements, documentation, and governance standards. - Coordinate with third‑party providers/MSPs, defining responsibilities and accountability. - Serve as a senior technical escalation point when required. Required Skills - Strong technical expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, networking, and cloud (AWS/Azure). - Experience in incident and problem management, ITIL or similar frameworks. - Team management and coaching skills for a small team. - Process‑driven mindset with emphasis on documentation and governance. - Excellent problem‑solving and analytical abilities. - Effective communication with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders. Required Education & Certifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). - Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, or ITIL Foundation (preferred).
