**Job Title:** Consulting Intern (Student Consultant – Remote) **Role Summary:** Remote, part‑time internship for university students to gain hands‑on consulting experience by working in a small team (6–8 members) on real client projects. The role involves market and financial analysis, research, risk assessment, and delivering strategic recommendations under tight timelines. **Expectations:** - Commit 10–12 hours per week for the duration of a project. - Join Blackmont as a member (membership fee covers software, training, and platform costs). - Work remotely and collaborate with a diverse, student‑run consulting team. - Produce high‑quality deliverables and present findings to internal and client stakeholders. - Uphold the organization’s values of equity, diversity, and inclusion. **Key Responsibilities:** - Analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and formulate strategic recommendations. - Conduct primary research with industry contacts, customers, suppliers, and competitors. - Assess sector‑specific, political, regulatory, and currency risks as applicable. - Perform financial analysis, company valuation, and financial modelling. - Interpret data, extract insights, and create clear presentations for team and client audiences. - Contribute to the development of innovative client strategies and consulting tools. - Participate in team meetings, progress reporting, and final project delivery. **Required Skills:** - Strong analytical and quantitative abilities. - Effective written and verbal communication skills. - Proficiency in data analysis and presentation tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint). - Ability to conduct independent research and synthesize information. - Collaborative teamwork and virtual collaboration skills. - Time‑management and ability to meet deadlines in a remote setting. - Basic understanding of financial concepts and valuation techniques (preferred). **Required Education & Certifications:** - Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at an accredited university (any discipline). - No specific certifications required; willingness to learn consulting methodologies is essential.
