Job Description
**Job Title** Indigenous Student Internship **Role Summary** Paid, term‑based internship (4, 6, 8 or 12 months) providing Indigenous university/college students hands‑on experience on large‑scale nuclear and energy projects. Interns work hybrid (3 days on‑site at Candu offices, 2 days remote), receive monthly mentorship, and must obtain Candu security clearance. **Expectations** - Maintain high attention to detail in all tasks. - Communicate clearly in written and verbal formats. - Manage multiple assignments simultaneously and adapt to shifting priorities. - Uphold a culturally safe and collaborative work environment. **Key Responsibilities** - Support project teams with document preparation, data entry, and basic analysis using MS Office. - Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and project documentation. - Participate in project meetings, capture minutes, and follow up on action items. - Contribute to health‑ and safety‑focused initiatives as directed. - Complete assigned tasks within the 37.5‑hour work week, adhering to hybrid schedule. - Engage in monthly mentoring sessions with OG7GES mentors. **Required Skills** - Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). - Strong written and oral communication abilities. - Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask. - Adaptability to changing project needs and priorities. - Eligibility to obtain Candu security clearance. **Required Education & Certifications** - Currently enrolled in a college or university program (any discipline). - Self‑identify as an Indigenous Canadian. - No specific certifications required; security clearance is a condition of hire.
