Job Description
**Job Title** IT Manager – Infrastructure & Security **Role Summary** Lead, manage, and maintain the organization’s hardware, networking, and core infrastructure to ensure secure, high‑availability, and scalable operations that support all business functions. **Expectations** - Deliver reliable infrastructure with fault‑tolerant architecture. - Protect and secure all physical and virtual assets, networks, and data. - Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align infrastructure with business needs. - Manage budgets, vendor relationships, and continuous improvement initiatives. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Design, deploy, and maintain physical and virtual infrastructure (servers, storage, switches, routers, firewalls, datacenter equipment). 2. Oversee procurement, configuration, lifecycle management, and replacement of hardware assets. 3. Implement redundant, failover, clustering, backup, and disaster recovery solutions. 4. Manage virtualization and container environments (VMware, Hyper‑V, Docker, etc.). 5. Configure and secure cloud or hybrid connectivity (VPNs, MPLS, direct circuits). 6. Monitor system performance, capacity, and conduct forecasting; tune systems accordingly. 7. Design, implement, and maintain LAN, WAN, wireless, remote access networks, and load balancing. 8. Configure network security (firewalls, IDS/IPS), enforce policies, execute patch management. 9. Lead threat detection, incident response, and forensic investigations. 10. Ensure regulatory compliance (PCI, HIPAA, GDPR, ISO 27001, etc.) and coordinate external audits. 11. Develop, test, and execute backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies; validate RTO/RPO. 12. Mentor and lead infrastructure/operations staff and contractors. 13. Serve as escalation point for outages, performance issues, and security incidents. 14. Maintain vendor contracts, budgeting, forecasts, and capital expenditure planning. 15. Produce regular reports on infrastructure health, security posture, capacity, and performance. 16. Create and enforce documentation standards, change controls, naming conventions, and SOPs. **Required Skills** - Proficient with servers, storage, networking equipment, virtualization platforms, and datacenter operations. - Deep understanding of TCP/IP, routing (OSPF/BGP), VLANs, MPLS, VPNs, and network security devices. - Strong experience in firewalls, IDS/IPS, segmentation, vulnerability management, and patching. - Expertise in backup, replication, disaster recovery planning and execution (including RTO/RPO). - Ability to design and implement high‑availability, fault‑tolerant architectures. - Analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills. - Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to engage non‑technical stakeholders. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience. - 7+ years in IT infrastructure, network, or systems operations; 3+ years of direct leadership. - Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CCNP/CCIE, VMware VCP, or equivalent strongly preferred. - Familiarity with infrastructure‑as‑code tools (Ansible, Terraform) and monitoring platforms (Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus) is a plus.
