Job Description
**Job title** Junior Software Developer (Hybrid, Full Time) **Role Summary** Design, develop, test, and maintain web‑based WealthCounsel applications. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver functional, scalable software that meets user requirements and quality standards. **Expactations** * Deliver clean, maintainable source code and unit tests. * Provide realistic effort estimates for assigned tasks. * Participate actively in code reviews, technical discussions, and documentation. * Continuously learn and apply new programming languages, frameworks, and cloud technologies. * Ensure adherence to CI/CD pipelines and best practices for software quality. **Key Responsibilities** * Develop, enhance, and maintain Java‑ and JavaScript‑based web applications. * Design, implement, and expose RESTful APIs. * Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve application defects. * Write unit tests and integrate them into automated build processes. * Contribute to technical documentation and design specifications. * Work with QA, product, and design teams to ensure deliverables meet business and usability goals. * Participate in sprint planning, stand‑ups, and retrospective meetings. * Collaborate in a hybrid environment, coordinating work from home and in‑office. **Required Skills** * Proficient in Java (1–2 years experience). * Experience developing JavaScript client applications (1+ year). * Strong debugging and REST API development skills. * Solid understanding of client/server web technologies. * Familiarity with CI/CD principles and tooling. * Ability to work in agile/scrum environments. * Willingness to learn new languages and tools quickly. **Required Education & Certifications** * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent on‑the‑job experience. ---
