Job Description
**Job Title** Deputy Site Manager (Armament & Operations) **Role Summary** Act as the second‑to‑the‑top site leader, supporting the Site Manager in all aspects of armament, human resources, daily operations, and team management at a maritime facility. Responsible for crew planning, compliance with maritime regulations, client billing oversight, and continuous improvement projects. **Expectations** - Deliver timely, compliant management of personnel and operation plans. - Ensure high safety and quality standards through QSSE processes. - Lead, motivate, and develop a small support team and the movements office. - Foster strong relationships with port stakeholders and coordinate ship movements. - Execute project initiatives that enhance efficiency and safety. **Key Responsibilities** 1. **Armament & HR Management** - Plan and track crew deployment, STCW qualifications, and employment contracts. - Maintain accurate administrative data for crew and shore staff (situation, leave, OTs). - Execute HR processes: recruitment, disciplinary actions, performance reviews, and professional development plans. 2. **Operations Support** - Assist and substitute the Site Manager in daily operations. - Plan ship movements and coordinate with port personnel (captaincy, piloting, clients). - Monitor client billing in the absence of the armament assistant. - Enforce QSSE procedures and work instructions. 3. **Team & Project Leadership** - Manage the armament/technical assistant and movement office staff. - Set annual performance targets, conduct performance and professional meetings. - Drive continuous improvement initiatives and project contributions. **Required Skills** - Strategic planning and execution; strong analytical and synthesis abilities. - Excellent verbal and written communication, teamwork, flexibility, and adaptability. - Proficiency with office software, project management tools, and English. - Detailed knowledge of marine safety, armament, and rigging operations. - Familiarity with QSSE systems and maritime safety regulations. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of experience (BAC+5) from ENSM or equivalent maritime engineering program. - Experience in a similar armament or naval training role. - Relevant certifications or knowledge in tugboat operations, marine safety, and QSSE compliance.
