Job Description
Job Title General Country Manager – Industrial Machinery Role Summary Oversee the entire subsidiary, managing both commercial and after‑sales teams across France. Drive revenue growth, control costs, and maintain strategic relationships with key accounts while ensuring high field‑presence and customer engagement. Expectations * Deliver sustainable financial performance and meet growth targets. * Uphold and expand strong relationships with strategic clients. * Demonstrate hands‑on leadership, remaining actively involved in sales and service operations. Key Responsibilities - Lead and develop the national commercial team (sales representatives, business developers). - Direct the after‑sales service function, supervising technicians and a service manager. - Define and execute sales strategies to increase market share and revenue. - Monitor and control operating costs, ensuring profitability. - Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the machine‑tool sector. - Manage key customer accounts, ensuring high satisfaction and contract renewal. - Maintain on‑site presence with clients, prospects and internal stakeholders. - Report performance metrics to senior management and adjust plans accordingly. Required Skills - Minimum 5 years of senior leadership experience in sales or business development (CEO, BU Director, Commercial Director). - Proven track record in growing revenue within the machine‑tool or related industrial manufacturing sector. - Deep understanding of complex industrial sales cycles and customer decision‑making. - Strong strategic account management and cost control abilities. - Fluency in English required; Italian knowledge a plus. - Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder‑management skills. - Hands‑on, field‑based leadership style. Required Education & Certifications - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or related discipline. - MBA or comparable advanced qualification preferred but not mandatory.
