**Job Title** IT Co‑op – Spring 2026 (Data Science) **Role Summary** Support enterprise data initiatives by designing, building, and validating data‑driven solutions in an Agile environment. Collaborate with business SMEs and technical teams to deliver proofs of concept (POCs) that demonstrate the value of ML/AI technologies for strategic business outcomes. **Expectations** - Execute responsibilities in a fast‑paced setting with regular, predictable output. - Demonstrate initiative, sound judgment, and sound decision‑making. - Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels. - Fulfill work duties, including required physical tasks (walking, lifting up to 10 lb). - Maintain a hybrid work schedule (at least 3 days onsite). - Pass pre‑employment drug screening and background checks. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Collaborate with business subject matter experts to capture process requirements and challenges. 2. Design, develop, and implement data‑centric POCs to showcase enterprise‑scale impact. 3. Manage the data lifecycle—collection, preprocessing, cleansing, transformation, and loading. 4. Apply modern data engineering and data science practices, incorporating ML/AI methods to solve complex problems. 5. Build, test, and validate machine learning models, documenting code, methodology, and results. 6. Participate in R&D activities to enhance business outcomes through innovative technologies. 7. Conduct quality assurance testing and maintain clear documentation. 8. Foster cross‑functional collaboration and knowledge sharing. **Required Skills** - Proficiency in Python and familiarity with Azure Machine Learning, Power BI, or equivalent tools. - Strong collaboration and communication abilities. - Ability to work independently and within an Agile team. - Knowledge of data preparation, ETL processes, and machine learning concepts. - Awareness of compliance and regulatory considerations in regulated industries (e.g., healthcare). **Required Education & Certifications** - Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s program in Computer Science, Data Science, or a closely related field. - No specific certifications required; exposure to ML/AI, ETL, or cloud platforms is preferred.
