Job title: Business and Strategic Planning Analyst
Role Summary: Strategic and analytical professional partnering with executive leadership to identify, drive, and measure high‑impact initiatives that improve origination outcomes, credit performance, and lending strategy. Works across product, operations, and data teams to develop solutions, monitor KPIs, and deliver actionable insights that influence decision‑making and operational efficiency.
Expectations:
• Lead end‑to‑end process improvement projects and customer‑experience enhancements.
• Analyze credit and origination performance, surfacing trends and measuring the impact of initiatives on risk, funnel efficiency, and acquisition.
• Build and maintain analytics pipelines to track progress toward company KPIs and performance drivers.
• Partner with product, operations, and data stakeholders to design and deploy solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Support model development, deployment, monitoring, and backtesting of credit and underwriting models.
• Monitor dashboards, identify early warning signs of credit deterioration or operational inefficiencies, and present findings to senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct data analysis on credit and origination metrics, identifying trends, risk indicators, and efficiency gaps.
- Design, develop, and maintain SQL‑based data models and dashboards that track key performance indicators.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate analytical findings into actionable business and product initiatives.
- Lead initiatives to optimize the client lifecycle from assessment through execution, measuring impact on cost, growth, and risk.
- Communicate complex insights clearly to non‑technical stakeholders, supporting strategic decision‑making.
- Monitor early warning signs of credit deterioration; recommend mitigation strategies.
- Participate in the deployment, monitoring, and backtesting of credit and underwriting models.
Required Skills:
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Proficient in SQL; advanced Excel competency.
- Working knowledge of Python or R is a plus.
- Familiarity with credit reports, credit‑scoring models, and consumer loan performance metrics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present findings to senior leaders.
- Detail‑oriented, highly organized, capable of managing multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business, Engineering, or a related analytical field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in business analytics, credit risk, or management consulting, preferably within consumer lending, fintech, or startup environments.
