DevOps Engineer

Job Description

Job Title: DevOps Engineer Role Summary: Provide infrastructure, CI/CD, monitoring, and tooling support for game development teams using Unity and Unreal Engine. Deliver rapid, reliable builds, maintain compile servers, optimize build performance, and develop automation tools to aid QA, reviewers, and publishers. Expectations: - Hybrid work model: present 3 days per week in studio. - Collaborate across development, QA, and operations, communicating requirements, improvements, and plans. - Ensure build infrastructure scales with growth and remains secure and reliable. Key Responsibilities: - Operate and extend CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins/TeamCity or Azure DevOps. - Maintain Linux/Unix and macOS build servers, Docker containers, and virtual machines. - Monitor infrastructure using Grafana and Prometheus; configure alerts and report trends. - Develop automation scripts (Python, Bash) for builds, testing, and deployment. - Analyse and reduce build times, implement caching and parallelization where possible. - Document processes in Confluence, track tasks in Jira, and manage source control via Git/Perforce. - Provide technical guidance to developers, support incident resolution, and propose infrastructure improvements. Required Skills: - Strong CI/CD experience with Jenkins, TeamCity, or Azure DevOps. - Proficient in Python and Bash scripting. - Solid Linux/Unix and macOS administration. - Git command‑line expertise. - Hands‑on Docker container creation and deployment. - Monitoring/alerting with Grafana and Prometheus. - Excellent written and verbal communication, stakeholder engagement. Required Education & Certifications: - Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent professional experience. Desirable (optional) skills: - Unity/Unreal Engine build knowledge. - Infrastructure‑as‑Code experience (Terraform, Ansible). - Perforce administration. - Build time optimization for game projects.
