Job Title: Quantity Surveying Technical Apprenticeship 2026 (Level 4-6) Role Summary: A 5-year hybrid apprenticeship combining Level 4 HNC and Level 6 degree program in Quantity Surveying, delivered by Leeds College of Building. Focus on commercial management, cost control, and project delivery for construction projects. Expactations: Successful candidates will progress through a structured pathway from Level 4 to Level 6 qualifications, achieving professional development and CIOB (Chartered Institute of Building) credentials. Requires full-time commitment with block-release study periods. Key Responsibilities: - Support project delivery on-site, managing contracts, costs, and materials. - Apply technical knowledge to monitor project costs and resolve cost-related issues. - Collaborate with senior quantity surveyors and site teams to document changes in costs and materials. - Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. - Track project progress against timelines and construction methods. - Develop skills in sustainable construction practices and precision engineering techniques. Required Skills: - Strong mathematical and analytical abilities. - Problem-solving skills in live project environments. - Effective communication and team collaboration. - Proficiency in contract management and cost monitoring. Required Education & Certifications: - GCSE grade 5 (B) or above in Maths, grade 4 (C) or above in English Language, and 3 additional GCSEs grade 4 (C) or above. - 2 A-Levels (STEM, finance, economics, business) or equivalent Level 3 qualifications (e.g., Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying). - T Level in Design, Planning & Surveying for Construction preferred. - Progression toward Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) membership during the apprenticeship.
