Job title: Senior Cloud Engineer
Role Summary:
Design, implement, and optimize scalable, secure cloud and network infrastructures using IaC and automation tools. Lead automation of infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and CI/CD pipelines while ensuring performance, cost efficiency, and high availability across AWS, Azure, and hybrid environments.
Expectations:
* Minimum 5–8 years of hands‑on experience in cloud infrastructure, networking, and automation.
* Demonstrated ability to architect secure, scalable, cloud‑native solutions.
* Proven track record of deploying and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application layers.
* Strong cross‑functional communication and collaborative problem‑solving in fast‑paced settings.
Key Responsibilities:
* Architect and deploy AWS/Azure cloud environments with focus on scalability, reliability, and cost optimization.
* Develop and maintain IaC pipelines using Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent.
* Automate network configuration and management with Ansible, Terraform, or similar tools.
* Integrate network services (VPN, firewalls, DNS, load balancers) across cloud and on‑premises setups.
* Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application delivery.
* Establish monitoring, alerting, and logging with Prometheus, Grafana, or analogous solutions.
* Conduct performance tuning, capacity planning, and troubleshooting for cloud and network components.
* Enforce security best practices, including IAM, network segmentation, and vulnerability management.
* Evaluate and recommend new automation tools, frameworks, and processes to improve operational efficiency.
Required Skills:
* Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure (proficient).
* IaC & configuration management: Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible.
* Network automation tools.
* Scripting: Python, Bash.
* CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.).
* Monitoring tools: Prometheus, Grafana, or equivalent.
* Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, firewalls, routing, switching.
* Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes (preferred).
* Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
Required Education & Certifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).
* Relevant cloud certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure‑AZ-303/304, etc.) are strongly preferred.
* Certifications in networking (CCNP, etc.) or automation (Red Hat Ansible Automation) are advantageous.
