Job Description
Job title: Business Development Manager Role Summary: Own end‑to‑end new‑business sales cycle, generating revenue by prospecting, qualifying, presenting, negotiating and closing deals with publishers and media‑related B2B clients. Deliver consultative sales, build senior stakeholder relationships, and contribute to product strategy through industry insights. Expactations: • 5+ years in B2B SaaS or technology sales with proven new‑business revenue track record. • Accountability for meeting or exceeding revenue targets. • Strong negotiation, presentation and senior‑level communication skills. • Proactive, strategic mindset with ability to add value for leads. • Comfortable traveling for client meetings and events. Key Responsibilities: • Identify and close new opportunities in publishing, media, and B2B content sectors. • Research and prospect leads using LinkedIn, data tools and industry news. • Design and execute outbound strategies (cold calls, emails, events). • Leverage AI tools to accelerate prospecting and pipeline building. • Maintain accurate Salesforce records; manage pipeline, forecast, and report to leadership. • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities and share insights for product and strategy. Required Skills: • B2B new‑business sales experience (5+ yrs). • Proven revenue generation and quota attainment. • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills. • Strategic thinking, proactive opportunity hunting. • Familiarity with CRM (Salesforce) and prospecting tools. • Strong communication, influencing senior stakeholders. Required Education & Certifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field. • Salesforce administrator or similar certification preferred.
