Job Title: Digital Software Engineer Intern
Role Summary:
Short‑term (11‑week) engineering internship focusing on development, testing, and deployment of digital solutions for a medical device company. Interns build proofs‑of‑concept, contribute to software pipelines, support APIs and mobile/web applications, and participate throughout the SDLC.
Expactations:
• Attend full 11‑week program and 40 hours per week on required schedule.
• Work autonomously and collaboratively with a mentor and cross‑functional team.
• Deliver clean, tested code and maintain technical documentation.
• Engage in Agile/Scrum practices and meet sprint deadlines.
• Demonstrate critical thinking, problem‑solving, and a commitment to quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, debug, and test software components in Python, pytest, and other languages.
- Create proof‑of‑concept code to evaluate new technologies.
- Assist in building Terraform scripts and Azure pipelines for software deployment.
- Contribute to API, Android, iOS, .NET, and React application development.
- Support all phases of the software development life cycle: requirements, design, implementation, integration, and testing.
- Produce, maintain, and update technical documentation.
- Participate in planning, daily stand‑ups, and sprint reviews as per Agile methodology.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in functional or object‑oriented programming languages: Python, C#, Java, JavaScript, SQL, etc.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks (e.g., pytest) and version control systems.
- Experience or comfort with cloud platforms (Azure) and IaC tools (Terraform).
- Knowledge of APIs, mobile (Android/iOS), and web frameworks (.NET, React).
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed, fast‑paced team.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Current enrollment in an accredited bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, as a sophomore, junior, or senior.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Availability for the full 11‑week internship period (40 hours per week).
