Job Description
**Job Title** Senior Director, Access Partnerships **Role Summary** Lead the development and scaling of strategic partnerships with state agencies, large school districts, and community‑based organizations to expand Common App’s reach to underserved K‑12 students, leveraging technology solutions and data integration. Manage and grow a high‑performance partnership team; align partnership initiatives with product strategy and organizational equity goals. **Expectations** - Deliver partnership strategy that increases student access to post‑secondary opportunities. - Travel to attend bi‑annual retreats and industry events. - Collaborate cross‑functionally with product, data, and advocacy teams. - Demonstrate measurable impact on student outcomes and equity metrics. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Design and execute partnership roadmap with states, districts, and CBOs. 2. Identify, negotiate, and sustain joint agreements that remove friction for students. 3. Build and lead a partnership team; provide coaching, performance evaluation, and professional development. 4. Serve as primary liaison to senior educational leaders (superintendents, state officials, executive directors). 5. Translate field insights into scalable product enhancements and roadmap alignment. 6. Monitor partnership performance, analyze data, and report progress to senior leadership. 7. Champion equity, access, and inclusion within all partnership activities. **Required Skills** - Minimum 10 years K‑12 education partnership/strategy experience, 8 years people‑management. - Deep knowledge of K‑12 systems, higher‑education pathways, student data tools, and state/district partnership models. - Strong strategic thinking, analytical judgment, and ability to use field data to inform product decisions. - Excellence in negotiating, influencing senior stakeholders, and building long‑term alliances. - Proven change‑management capability, transitioning from direct service to scalable partnership models. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Salesforce, and related software. - Commitment to equity, inclusion, and outcomes for students below the national median income. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience). No specific certifications required.
