Job Description
Job Title: BI Analyst Role Summary: Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports primarily using Power BI (and optionally Jet Reporting). Translate business requirements into technical specifications, build data pipelines, and ensure secure, user‑friendly BI solutions. Provide training, support, and governance for enterprise data analytics. Expectations: - 3–5 years of BI development experience. - Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and project‑management skills. - Ability to communicate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders. - Experience managing multiple BI projects concurrently. Key Responsibilities: - Build and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and Power Apps/Power Automate flows. - Gather daily/weekly/monthly reporting needs and deliver timely business insights. - Connect Power BI to data sources (SQL Server, Excel, SharePoint, Azure, APIs). - Implement row‑level security and manage user permissions in Power BI workspaces. - Translate business KPIs and metrics into effective visualizations; apply best‑practice design. - Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) for large datasets. - Provide end‑user training and support on Power BI features and usage. - Contribute to data governance, centralization, and quality initiatives. - Occasionally undertake related BI duties as required. Required Skills: - Proficient in Power BI (desktop, service, gateway) and Power Apps/Power Automate. - Strong knowledge of SQL Server, Excel, SharePoint, Azure services, and API integration. - Experience with data modeling, DAX, and performance optimization. - Familiarity with ERP systems (Microsoft Navision preferred). - Understanding of KPI/metric definition and dashboard design best practices. - Solid grasp of data governance, security, and data‑quality principles. - Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics, or related field. - Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate (Power BI) – asset.
