Job Description
**Job Title:** Reimbursement Coordinator **Role Summary:** Coordinate end‑to‑end patient support for specialty medication programs, serving as the main liaison between patients, physicians, pharmacies, and payers. Manage enrollment, documentation, authorizations, and follow‑up to ensure timely access to treatment and adherence to program policies. **Expectations:** - Deliver high‑quality, patient‑focused service. - Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date records and timely documentation. - Resolve reimbursement and authorization issues efficiently. - Build and sustain trusted relationships with healthcare providers and internal teams. - Adhere to all regulatory, safety, and quality standards. **Key Responsibilities:** - Enroll patients into support programs and conduct welcome calls. - Obtain patient consent and gather required information. - Request, track, and complete reimbursement paperwork and prior authorizations. - Determine copay responsibilities and coordinate benefits with insurers. - Escalate referral delays or issues to appropriate contacts. - Document all communications and upload documents into Salesforce. - Coordinate drug deliveries, injection training, and patient follow‑up calls. - Monitor and report adverse events and product technical complaints. - Resolve prescription billing and adjudication issues with public and private payers. - Support pharmacy teams and internal stakeholders. - Participate in scheduled and ad‑hoc departmental projects. **Required Skills:** - Strong telephone and interpersonal communication. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively. - Proficient in MS Office; experience with Salesforce preferred. - Problem‑solving, critical thinking, and detail orientation. - Excellent organizational and time‑management skills. - Empathetic customer service with a patient‑advocacy mindset. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Diploma or certificate in business or medical administration. - Minimum 2 years experience in pharmacy claim adjudication or reimbursement coordination. - Knowledge of prior authorization processes for specialty/high‑cost medications. - Experience in therapeutic areas such as neurology, allergy and respiratory, dermatology, and rheumatology (preferred). - Familiarity with patient support program navigation and Kroll Pharmacy Management Software (asset). ---
