**Job Title:** Data Scientist
**Role Summary:**
Drive data‑driven decisions by collecting, cleaning, analysing, and visualising complex datasets. Build, deploy, and maintain predictive models to uncover actionable insights, collaborate with engineering, analytics, and business stakeholders, and continuously improve AI/ML tools.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver high‑quality models and dashboards that impact business metrics.
- Communicate findings clearly to technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Maintain a learning mindset, staying current with emerging tools and best practices.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Gather, clean, and preprocess data from multiple sources.
- Apply statistical methods, forecasting, and machine learning to generate insights.
- Design, develop, and deploy predictive models (e.g., using Scikit‑Learn, TensorFlow, or equivalent).
- Create dashboards and visualisations (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or open‑source alternatives).
- Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and business leaders on end‑to‑end projects.
- Develop and iterate AI/ML tools on cloud platforms (Google Vertex AI, Azure ML, AWS, GCP).
- Monitor model performance, conduct validation, and iterate for improvement.
**Required Skills:**
- Proficiency in Python or R; solid SQL knowledge.
- Experience with end‑to‑end data science workflows: pipelines, version control, testing, deployment.
- Strong statistical and machine learning background (regression, classification, clustering, time‑series).
- Familiarity with cloud data services (AWS, GCP, Azure) and MLOps practices.
- Ability to translate complex analytical results into clear, concise business insights.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Degree in a quantitative discipline (Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Data Science, or equivalent).
- Certifications in data science, machine learning, or cloud platforms are a plus (e.g., Azure ML, GCP Vertex AI, AWS Certified Machine Learning).
