Job Description
Job title: COO / Business Unit Director (F/M) Role Summary: Lead strategic and commercial operations for a salary-portage subsidiary, driving growth, managing a 10‑person commercial team, and optimizing end‑to‑end service delivery to maintain profitability and client satisfaction. Expactations: Deliver measurable business development outcomes, maintain financial discipline, and sustain operational excellence while cultivating a high‑performing team culture. Key Responsibilities: • Set and execute operational and commercial strategy in partnership with senior leadership. • Drive prospecting, negotiation, and contract signing with corporate clients. • Analyze market, competitive landscape, and industry trends to tailor service offerings. • Build and nurture partner relationships (especially with IT consulting firms) to generate qualified leads. • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 8‑15 sales and client‑management professionals. • Streamline operational workflows for consultant onboarding, administration, payroll, and invoicing to ensure quality, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. • Monitor financial metrics (budget, forecasts, KPIs, profitability) and report on performance. Required Skills: • Strong commercial acumen with proven prospecting, negotiation, and deal‑closure experience. • Demonstrated leadership and team‑development abilities. • Excellent internal and external communication, facilitation, and feedback skills. • Client‑focused mindset with a passion for service quality. • Analytical mindset for market and financial performance assessment. • Proficiency in English (written and spoken). Required Education & Certifications: • Master’s degree or equivalent (Business School, Management, HR). • Minimum 5 years in operational or commercial leadership within services, IT consulting, or professional consulting. • Proven track record managing a profit center and leading teams of 8‑15 people.
