Job Description
Job Title: Trainee Business Development Manager Role Summary: Entry‑level professional who will support the Business Development team in generating new opportunities, maintaining client relationships and driving revenue growth. Provides assistance in prospect research, outreach, proposal preparation and pipeline management while learning best practices in customer engagement and sales strategy. Expectations: - Motivated, commercially minded individual eager to learn the BD process. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work collaboratively within a team and with cross‑functional stakeholders. - Proactive, detail‑oriented and self‑directed. - Willingness to work in a fast‑paced, customer‑centric environment. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct market and competitor research to identify potential clients across multiple sectors. - Assist in developing and customizing proposals, quotes and presentations. - Support outreach initiatives—including cold calls, emails, and social‑media campaigns—to generate new leads. - Maintain accurate records of prospect activities and sales pipeline using the company’s CRM system. - Collaborate with marketing, account management, and product teams to align BD activities with overall business goals. - Track performance metrics, prepare regular reports, and provide insights to senior BD staff. - Participate in client meetings and presentations as required, taking notes and following up on actions. Required Skills: - Excellent verbal and written communication. - Strong analytical and research abilities. - Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and MS Office. - Basic understanding of sales cycles and customer relationship management. - Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines. - Team player with a proactive, solution‑oriented mindset. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or related field (or equivalent practical experience). - No mandatory certifications required.
