Job Title: Head of AI
Role Summary: Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive AI strategy that aligns technology initiatives with a company’s long‑term business goals. Drive organizational adoption, set governance standards, and ensure ethical AI practices across all functions.
Expectations: Deliver measurable business value through AI projects, build and scale high‑performance AI teams, and serve as the definitive authority on AI policy, risk management, and innovation lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define the organization’s AI vision, roadmap, and governance framework.
- Partner with senior leaders to prioritize AI use cases that yield revenue, cost savings, or competitive advantage.
- Oversee the end‑to‑end AI lifecycle: data acquisition, model development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and continual improvement.
- Establish best practices for AI research, model interpretability, data privacy, and regulatory compliance.
- Recruit, mentor, and retain top talent in data science, machine learning engineering, and AI product management.
- Cultivate external partnerships with academia, vendors, and industry consortia to advance technology capabilities.
Required Skills:
- Deep expertise in machine learning, deep learning, NLP, or computer vision.
- Strong experience leading AI strategy, product development, and cross‑functional execution.
- Proficiency with cloud AI platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization/CI‑CD pipelines.
- Demonstrated ability to manage large budgets, timelines, and multi‑disciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication and influence skills; comfortable speaking to C‑suite and technical stakeholders alike.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field; PhD preferred.
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty, Google Professional ML Engineer, or equivalent.
