Job Description: **Job Title:** Lead Data Scientist **Role Summary:** Senior technical expert leading data science initiatives, delivering high‑impact models, establishing technical standards, and overseeing complex projects from conception to production. **Expactations:** - Drive the vision and strategy for data science within the organization. - Mentor and manage a multidisciplinary data science team. - Translate business objectives into scalable data science solutions. - Ensure rigorous model validation, deployment, and monitoring. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, develop, and deploy production‑ready machine learning models and analytics solutions. - Define and enforce best practices, coding standards, and reproducibility protocols. - Collaborate with engineering, product, and business units to integrate models into live systems. - Lead cross‑functional project teams, managing timelines, resources, and stakeholder communication. - Evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks to continuously improve the data science workflow. **Required Skills:** - Strong proficiency in Python or R, SQL, and distributed computing (Spark, Hadoop). - Advanced knowledge of statistical modeling, machine learning, and deep learning techniques. - Experience with model deployment pipelines (Docker, Kubernetes, MLflow, SageMaker). - Expertise in data engineering concepts (ETL, data warehousing, lakehouse architectures). - Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex analyses to non‑technical audiences. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or related field. - Equivalence of advanced coursework or professional certifications in data science, machine learning, or AI is acceptable. - Proven track record of at least 5+ years in data science or analytics roles, including 2+ years in a lead or managerial capacity.
