**Job Title**
Network and Systems Engineer
**Role Summary**
Design, implement, harden, and maintain secure, high‑criticality information systems for defense‑related clients. The engineer will architect network, server, storage, virtualization, and monitoring solutions, automate operations, ensure compliance with security standards, and support pre‑sales technical activities.
**Expectations**
- 5–10 years of professional experience in secure IT system implementation.
- Proven ability to design and deploy complex architectures in Linux/Windows environments.
- Strong technical writing and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel within France as required.
**Key Responsibilities**
*System Design & Development*
- Contribute to the overall SI architecture (network, servers, storage, backup, supervision, orchestration).
- Harden infrastructure to required security levels.
- Build prototypes, mock‑ups, and POCs to validate architectural concepts.
- Develop automation scripts (PowerShell, Python, Salt, Ansible).
- Deploy and secure virtualization, storage, and monitoring solutions.
- Draft procedures, norms, and documentation ensuring availability and performance.
- Execute IVVQ practices on operated systems.
- Install and configure servers, storage, and backup solutions.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for architecture, operation, and maintenance.
- Participate in pre‑sales to develop innovative technical solutions.
*Network Design & Hardening*
- Design and evolve network infrastructures (802.1X, strong authentication).
- Apply network hardening based on specialized guides (traffic matrices, configuration files).
*Security & Compliance*
- Define security solutions for system validation.
- Author documentation for external entities (ANSSI, clients).
**Required Skills**
- Operating systems: Linux, Windows.
- Virtualization: VMware, Proxmox, other distributed storage.
- Automation: Salt, Ansible, PowerShell, Python.
- Monitoring: Centreon, Zabbix.
- SIEM: ELK stack, Splunk.
- Security technologies: HIPS, Active Directory, 802.1X, Kerberos, Stormshield, Fortigate firewalls, NAC (ISE, ClearPass).
- Networking: Cisco, HPE.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (Bac +5) in Information Technology, Communications, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years professional experience in secure information system implementation.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CCNA/CCNP, VCP/VCE, VCAP) are advantageous.
