Job Description
Job title: Software Engineer Role Summary: Hands‑on software engineer focused on multidisciplinary product development. Deliver software solutions for embedded, desktop, and occasional mobile/cloud platforms across a mix of engineering projects (5+ per year). Collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, and systems teams to integrate hardware and software components. Expectations: - 1–2 years of professional or significant internship experience in software development. - Strong communication with clients and cross‑functional project teams. - Ability to write clean, well‑structured code and self‑manage project rigor. - Willingness to work on multiple short‑cycle projects and adapt quality processes to project needs. Key Responsibilities: - Design, implement, and maintain software for microcontrollers, embedded Linux, desktop OS (Linux/Windows/macOS), and optionally mobile/cloud. - Write unit and integration tests, use Git for version control, and maintain documentation. - Collaborate with hardware engineers to interface firmware with sensors, actuators, and networking modules. - Translate feature requirements into architecture, block diagrams, and code modules. - Debug and optimize code for performance, safety, and reliability. - Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning. Required Skills: - Proficiency in at least one low‑to‑mid level compiled language (C, C++, Go, Rust). - Proficiency in at least one high‑level OOP/ interpreted language (Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java/Kotlin). - Comfortable with Linux command line and embedded development (Arduino, STM32, Raspberry Pi). - Experience with Git, Linux-based OS, and desktop application development. - Strong problem‑solving, architecture, and communication skills. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field. - Certifications not required; relevant technical experience is emphasized.
