**Job Title:** Cybersecurity Engineer
**Role Summary:**
Design, implement, and maintain cybersecurity measures for enterprise systems and cloud environments. The role focuses on securing infrastructure, monitoring threats, responding to incidents, and enhancing security posture through automation and hardening practices.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver robust security solutions in a hybrid work environment.
- Demonstrate continuous improvement of security controls and processes.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to embed security into product lifecycles.
- Meet compliance and audit requirements across cloud and on‑prem resources.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Harden operating systems, applications, and network devices to meet industry standards.
- Architect and deploy firewalls, WAFs, SIEM, and EDR solutions.
- Hardening cloud resources; manage access controls, identity, and threat detection.
- Investigate security incidents, perform root‑cause analysis, and recommend remediation.
- Develop and maintain scripts/tools in Python, Bash, or Go to automate detection, response, and remediation tasks.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing, reporting findings to stakeholders.
- Review and improve CI/CD pipelines for security compliance, including IaC validation.
- Share knowledge through documentation, training, and security awareness initiatives.
- Participate in red/blue/purple team exercises to validate defenses and improve detection capabilities.
**Required Skills:**
- 6–8 years of cybersecurity engineering or equivalent hands‑on experience.
- Deep knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, TLS), firewalls, and WAF technologies.
- Extensive experience securing cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Proficient in system hardening for servers, endpoints, and network devices.
- Hands‑on experience with SIEM and EDR technologies.
- Scripting/automation skills in Python, Bash, or Go.
- Real‑world incident response and forensic analysis capabilities.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Relevant certifications highly preferred: CISSP, CCSP, OSCP, or equivalent.
- Experience with IaC security (Terraform, CloudFormation) and container security is a plus.
