Job Description
**Job Title:** Infrastructure Engineer **Role Summary:** Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure cloud infrastructure and automation systems that enable rapid and reliable application delivery. Own infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, security compliance, cost optimization, and serve as the primary on‑call engineer for critical production incidents. **Expactations:** - Deliver production‑grade, highly available infrastructure with minimal downtime. - Drive automation and DevOps best practices across the organization. - Maintain incident readiness, responding swiftly to P1 alerts with clear escalation paths. - Continuously improve cost efficiency and system reliability. **Key Responsibilities:** - Architect and implement cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) for production, staging, and dev. - Develop and manage IaC using Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent. - Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, ArgoCD, etc.). - Deploy, monitor, and log services with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, or similar tools. - Enforce security policies, run compliance scans, and remediate findings. - Collaborate with developers, QA, and security teams to shape infrastructure for speed and reliability. - Optimize cloud resource usage to balance performance and cost. - Lead on‑call rotation for P1 incidents, performing root cause analysis and post‑mortem documentation. **Required Skills:** - 3+ years in DevOps, Infrastructure, or Platform Engineering. - Proficiency with major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP). - Expertise in IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi). - Hands‑on CI/CD and automation experience (GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, ArgoCD). - Container and orchestration knowledge (Docker, Kubernetes). - Familiarity with monitoring/logging stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog). - Scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell. - Understanding of GitOps principles and version‑controlled infrastructure. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience). - Preferred certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, or Kubernetes Administrator.
