Job Title: Cloud Engineer
Role Summary: Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable, and cost‑efficient AWS infrastructure. Lead IaC development with CDK and Terraform, collaborate across Security, QA, and Product teams, and continuously improve performance, security, and compliance of cloud-native workloads.
Expactations: Deliver high‑availability AWS architectures, automate deployment and compliance, ensure robust monitoring and cost optimization, and provide rapid issue resolution in complex distributed environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and provision AWS resources (ECS/Fargate, EC2, Lambda, RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, S3, Transit Gateway, WAF, GuardDuty, etc.).
- Create and maintain IaC using AWS CDK (TypeScript) and Terraform across 70+ accounts with Control Tower governance.
- Integrate CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions or Bitbucket Pipelines for cloud deployments.
- Monitor system performance, uptime, and cost using CloudWatch, Splunk, Datadog, or similar.
- Enforce and automate security controls (IAM, SCPs, WAF, encryption, Zero Trust concepts).
- Collaborate with Product, Application, QA, and Security teams to streamline cloud workflows and troubleshoot production issues.
Required Skills:
- 3–5 years in AWS engineering and infrastructure management.
- Deep knowledge of core AWS services (ECS, EC2, Lambda, RDS, Aurora, S3, IAM, etc.).
- Proficiency in IaC tools: Terraform and AWS CDK.
- Strong scripting/programming skills: Python, TypeScript, Bash.
- Networking fundamentals and cloud security best practices.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines).
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- AWS Certifications preferred: Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, or DevOps Engineer.
