**Job Title:** Senior DevOps Engineer
**Role Summary:**
Lead the design, implementation, and management of scalable, highly‑available cloud infrastructure for a commercial big‑data medical analysis platform. Drive automation, IaC, CI/CD, and Site Reliability Engineering practices on AWS and Kubernetes while ensuring security, cost efficiency, and rapid development cycles.
**Expectations:**
- 7+ years of hands‑on DevOps or Software Engineering experience.
- Proven expertise with AWS, Terraform/Ansible, and Kubernetes (EKS).
- Ability to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitOps tools.
- Strong focus on automation, observability, and cost optimization.
- Collaborative mindset with QA, security, and agile development teams.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provision and manage AWS infrastructure as code (Terraform, Terragrunt, Ansible).
- Operate multi‑cluster EKS environments; package workloads with Helm/Kustomize.
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) and GitOps deployments (ArgoCD, FluxCD).
- Implement SRE practices: monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana), logging (ELK), alerting, and incident response.
- Conduct AWS cost analysis and implement optimization strategies.
- Integrate DevSecOps controls and work with regulatory/compliance teams.
- Build automated test environments, dashboards, and reporting for QA.
- Design backup, disaster‑recovery, and deployment strategies.
- Support agile development processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
**Required Skills:**
- Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Terragrunt, Ansible.
- Containerization & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Kustomize.
- CI/CD & GitOps: Jenkins, TeamCity, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, FluxCD.
- Cloud Platform: Advanced AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, EKS, IAM, VPC).
- Monitoring & Logging: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack.
- Scripting/Programming: Bash/Python (or comparable).
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Preferred: AWS Solutions Architect (Associate/Professional), AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS).
