Job title: Operational Financial Controller Role Summary: Provide analytical oversight of budgeting, forecasting, and operational cost allocation for a €40 M company with 130 staff. Monitor financial performance, identify variances, and support continuous improvement through KPI development and dashboard creation. Expectations: - Deliver timely and accurate financial analysis and reporting. - Ensure compliance with internal procedures and facilitate transparent project costing. - Drive data integrity linking operational metrics to consolidated financial statements. - Collaborate with finance and operational teams to optimize processes and support decision‑making. Key Responsibilities: - Participate in annual budget creation, updating, and close processes. - Analyze forecast vs. actual results, propose corrective actions, and follow up on implementation. - Manage monthly result closings, including analytical cost allocation to projects. - Validate project openings, monitor project progression, and adjust expense allocations as needed. - Oversee inventory management and ensure accurate accounting of raw materials and finished goods. - Reconcile operational data with financial statements and communicate outcomes to finance and management teams. - Evaluate industrial performance by analyzing production costs, yield, and product‑level profitability. - Identify and develop new KPIs, design dashboards, and automate recurring analysis tasks. - Conduct ad‑hoc analyses upon request and contribute to cross‑functional initiatives.
