Job Title: Web Design Intern Role Summary: Lead the end‑to‑end design and redevelopment of a corporate website, driving a modern, responsive, and brand‑consistent online presence within a 3‑month internship. Expectations: Deliver a high‑quality, accessible, and optimised web experience, manage design deliverables from concept to launch, and coordinate with engineering and communications teams to meet business objectives. Key Responsibilities: - Own the design strategy and project plan for the website redevelopment. - Create wireframes, interactive prototypes, and visual designs that align with brand guidelines. - Develop front‑end code (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and implement content via CMS (WordPress or Umbraco). - Ensure responsive design, accessibility (WCAG), and performance optimisation. - Gather stakeholder requirements, iterate on feedback, and maintain project documentation. - Collaborate with developers and content teams for seamless deployment and launch. Required Skills: - Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and CMS administration (WordPress/Umbraco). - Strong UX/UI design principles and responsive design experience. - Ability to create pixel‑perfect visual assets using graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Figma). - Project management and independent initiative. - Excellent problem‑solving, detail orientation, and clear communication. - Portfolio of completed web design projects. Required Education & Certifications: - Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, Computer Science, or a related field. - No mandatory certifications required.
