**Job title:** Cloud Operations Manager – AWS (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, EKS)
**Role Summary:**
Lead the design, deployment, and optimization of AWS infrastructure across compute, networking, storage, and database services. Drive automation via IaC and CI/CD, secure Kubernetes clusters, enforce DevSecOps practices, and ensure high availability, performance, and cost-efficiency.
**Expectations:**

- Continuously improve incident response and monitoring.
- Collaborate across development, security, and architecture teams.
- Maintain governance, compliance, and cost controls.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Architect and manage EC2 instances, VPCs, IAM policies, S3 buckets, RDS instances, and EKS clusters.
- Implement Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform or CloudFormation; version control and review all IaC artifacts.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or AWS CodePipeline for both applications and infrastructure.
- Operate and secure Amazon EKS clusters: deploy workloads, configure autoscaling, set up monitoring, and enforce RBAC and network policies.
- Apply DevSecOps: integrate vulnerability scanning, secrets management, and compliance checks into the delivery flow.
- Configure observability with CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana; triage incidents and conduct root‑cause analysis.
- Partner with developers, security, and solution architects to design resilient, compliant architectures.
**Required Skills:**
- Deep knowledge of AWS services: EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, EKS.
- IaC expertise: Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- CI/CD tooling: GitHub Actions, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline.
- Kubernetes administration (EKS) including deployment, scaling, and security.
- DevSecOps practices: vulnerability scanning, secrets management, compliance automation.
- Monitoring & observability: CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana.
- Strong scripting (Bash, Python, or similar).
- Incident management and root‑cause analysis skills.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- AWS certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Associate, or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate.
- Certification in Kubernetes (CKA/CKS) preferred.
