**Job Title:** Senior Software Engineer
**Role Summary:**
Design, build, and operate low‑level infrastructure that powers secure data handling at scale. Focus on high‑throughput encryption proxies, secure serverless runtimes, and confidential computing with AWS Nitro Enclaves. Own end‑to‑end feature delivery, from system design through production operations, while ensuring performance, correctness, and security.
**Expectations:**
* Deliver reliable, high‑performance components handling tens of thousands of requests per second.
* Own entire feature lifecycle: requirements, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and ops.
* Collaborate directly with customers to understand real‑world use cases and shape product roadmap.
* Drive engineering excellence: code quality, documentation, and developer experience.
* Act with ownership, urgency, and bias for action; independently resolve complex problems.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Build and operate forward/reverse proxies that encrypt/decrypt data in transit (e.g., mTLS, HTTP CONNECT, VSock).
* Design and maintain custom serverless runtimes for secure Node.js/Python execution.
* Develop tooling and libraries for deploying, attesting, and scaling AWS Nitro Enclaves.
* Engineer the core encryption engine powering company products.
* Create developer‑facing APIs, CLIs, and SDKs for infrastructure primitives.
* Implement observability, transaction logging, and debugging solutions in non‑traditional environments.
* Optimize latency and throughput through profiling, benchmarking, and performance tuning.
* Improve CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and deployment processes.
* Engage with customers to debug integrations and translate feedback into product improvements.
**Required Skills:**
* Deep expertise in distributed systems, networking protocols, operating systems, and memory models.
* Proficiency in low‑level programming (C/C++, Rust, Go); strong fundamentals in any language.
* Hands‑on experience with TLS 1.3, mTLS, HTTP proxies, and DNS handling.
* Knowledge of confidential computing (AWS Nitro Enclaves, secure enclaves, attestation).
* Ability to design and ship production‑grade tools (APIs, CLIs, SDKs).
* Strong debugging, profiling, and performance engineering skills.
* Excellent code quality, documentation, and developer experience sensibility.
* Curiosity to study RFCs, source code, and new security technologies.
* Product‑mindset with measurable focus on adoption and reliability.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
* Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
* Optional certifications in cloud (AWS Certified Solutions Architect), security (CISSP, GSEC), or networking (CCNA/CCNP) are beneficial but not mandatory.
