Job Description
Job Title: L2 Support Engineer (GCP specific) Role Summary: Provide Level‑2 technical support for Google Cloud Platform environments, with a focus on GKE/Kubernetes. Lead and mentor a team of support engineers, driving incident, problem, change, and performance management to maintain high service uptime and quality. Actively contribute to the adoption of GenAI principles within the cloud platform. Expectations: - Maintain high‑availability and performance of GCP and Kubernetes services. - Demonstrate leadership through mentorship, team collaboration, and proactive incident response. - Deliver root‑cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement. - Engage in change and release management, ensuring minimal service disruption. - Expand knowledge base and documentation to support the broader IT service operations. Required Skills: Technical - Deep proficiency in GCP services (Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Networking, IAM, etc.). - Expert knowledge of GKE/Kubernetes cluster management, deployments, scaling, and networking. - Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools (Helm, Istio). - Proficient in infrastructure automation with Terraform. - Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (Stackdriver, Prometheus, Grafana). Leadership & Soft Skills - Proven team‑leadership in a technical support or/cloud operations context. - Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills. - Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and decision‑making abilities. - Self‑motivated, autonomous, and adaptable to emerging technologies.
