Job Description
Job Title: Business Analyst Role Summary: Remote, contract position requiring expertise in mortgage loan origination, servicing, and securitization. Conducts system testing, process improvement, training, and documentation to support new or enhanced mortgage‑industry solutions. Manages multiple concurrent projects with limited supervision, delivering presentations, reports, and functional specifications to stakeholders. Expectations: - Deliver professional, customer‑focused service to internal and external clients. - Present process changes and system upgrades to varied audiences. - Lead user acceptance testing, develop test plans, and conduct functional walkthroughs. - Facilitate process‑improvement workshops with servicing teams. - Provide technical compliance support and industry‑level expertise. - Produce ad‑hoc and customized reports for investors and senior management. - Manage projects, ensuring on‑time completion under tight deadlines. Key Responsibilities: - Test and validate product upgrades, enhancements, and bug fixes. - Document business requirements and produce functional specifications. - Conduct system training sessions for servicing associates. - Generate exception reports, risk metrics, and performance dashboards. - Communicate business issues to management and recommend solutions. - Maintain detailed project documentation and status tracking. - Liaise with cross‑functional teams to align on system enhancements. Required Skills: - In‑depth mortgage domain knowledge (wholesale) and familiarity with BlueSage, Encompass, and other loan origination systems. - Strong analytical and technical proficiency with Excel, Word, MS Project, Crystal Reports, and Access. - Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. - Demonstrated project‑management skills and capacity to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously. - High attention to detail and strong time‑management skills. - Ability to resolve routine issues promptly and work overtime as needed. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience). - Minimum 5 years of relevant business‑analysis experience, with at least 3 years in the mortgage industry.
