Job Description
Job Title: Security Shift Manager Role Summary: Lead the aviation security team during shifts to ensure strict compliance with industry regulations, maintain operational efficiency, and provide timely reporting on productivity and security performance. Expections: - Demonstrate proactive, solution‑oriented leadership. - Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. - Maintain accurate, data‑driven reporting and budgeting oversight. Key Responsibilities: - Manage and mentor security staff, setting clear objectives and providing performance feedback. - Oversee daily operational activities to meet aviation security standards and company SOPs. - Schedule labor hours, ensuring coverage within budget constraints. - Handle administrative functions, including shift logs, incident records, and documentation. - Coordinate with managers and stakeholders to resolve compliance or operational issues. - Prepare for audits and inspections, maintaining all SOPs and compliance documentation. - Produce accurate reports on KPIs, productivity, and compliance status for senior management. - Drive continuous improvement initiatives and troubleshoot operational problems. - Build and sustain collaborative relationships across departments and serve as a role model. Required Skills: - Strong leadership and team‑development capabilities. - Excellent written and verbal communication. - Ability to motivate, mentor, and foster a cohesive team. - Deep commitment to safety and security culture. - High attention to detail with a data‑driven approach. - Flexibility and adaptability to changing schedules and priorities. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and advanced reporting. - Financial literacy for budgeting and cost‑control. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Aviation Operations, or related field (preferred). - Professional certifications such as Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or Security Management Professional (SMP). - Demonstrated knowledge of IATA/ICAO security regulations and industry best practices.
