Job Description
Job title: QA Tester – Software Quality Assurance Role Summary: Deliver high‑quality releases by executing manual and automated tests on connected audiovisual HealthTech software. Work closely with developers, QA engineers, and product owners within Agile teams to validate functionality, UI/UX, and data integrity. Expectations: • Bachelor’s level (Bac +3 or equivalent) in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering or related field. • Proficiency in English and French (written and spoken). • Demonstrated willingness to learn, adapt, and contribute to continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: • Review specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria. • Design, create, and maintain detailed test cases and scenarios. • Execute functional, UI/UX, regression, smoke, and sanity tests. • Log, track, and retest defects using GitLab or equivalent. • Participate in Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, retrospectives. • Document test results, create clear QA artefacts, and communicate findings to stakeholders. • Write and maintain automated test scripts in JavaScript. • Build and maintain regression test suites; identify high‑value manual cases for automation. • Leverage CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI), test management tools (Zephyr Enterprise) and automation platforms (TestComplete). • Conduct API tests with Postman or SoapUI. • Execute simple SQL queries for data validation. Required Skills: • Strong understanding of software testing principles and the SDLC/STLC lifecycle. • Basic knowledge of at least one programming/scripting language (Java, JavaScript, C#, etc.). • Experience with test‑management tools (e.g., Zephyr) and defect tracking systems (GitLab, JIRA). • Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools (GitLab CI, automation frameworks). • Proficient in API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI). • Basic SQL querying abilities. • Analytical thinking, meticulous attention to detail, and critical mindset. • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate within cross‑functional teams. Required Education & Certifications: • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or a related field. • No additional certifications required; knowledge of industry standards (ISTQB, CMMI) is a plus.
