Job Description
Job title: Intermediate Java Developer Role Summary: Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable Java and Spring Boot services within a cloud‑native payment ecosystem. Collaborate with product, development, and operations teams to translate business needs into technical solutions, focusing on APIs, data integration, and service reliability. Expectations: Deliver high‑quality code on time, maintain documentation, participate in code reviews, and support a continuous integration/continuous delivery pipeline. Champion best practices in security, performance, observability, and automated testing. Key Responsibilities: * Translate complex business requirements into technical design and architecture. * Develop and extend Java Spring Boot microservices and RESTful APIs. * Create and document integration patterns between internal services and third‑party systems. * Implement security, performance optimization, and observability (logging, monitoring, alerting). * Troubleshoot and resolve issues across distributed services. * Conduct code reviews and pull request approvals. * Contribute to automated test suites and maintain high test coverage. * Collaborate across teams to drive efficiency and continuous improvement. Required Skills: * 5+ years of professional software development experience. * Hands‑on proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful API development. * Experience with AWS (ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, CloudFormation). * Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, Snowflake). * Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CodePipeline). * Knowledge of automated testing frameworks and unit/integration testing. * Understanding of software engineering best practices, agile methodologies, and operational support. * Ability to work with messaging systems (Kafka) and AI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot). Required Education & Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
