Job Description
Job title: Software Systems Engineer Role Summary: Design, develop, and maintain high‑quality vision and AI software for industrial automation. Lead architecture decisions, implement modular microservices, and ensure reliable operation of legacy and new deployments in production environments. Expactations: Deliver robust code for vision and AI applications, participate in defining project deliverables, test proposed concepts, and support continuous improvement of existing machine software. Key Responsibilities: - Architect and develop software solutions using Python, C++, JavaScript, and associated libraries (OpenCV, CUDA, OpenCL, TensorFlow, PyTorch). - Create modular, multi‑platform systems and micro‑services for deployment on Windows and Linux. - Maintain and refactor legacy code in long‑term deployed machines. - Write and maintain documentation, track issues in Jira/Confluence or equivalent. - Conduct unit, integration, and performance testing; validate concepts before deployment. - Collaborate with cross‑functional R&D teams to define deliverables and milestones. - Facilitate code reviews and enforce coding standards. - Travel internationally (~5 weeks/year) for client visits; require valid passport, driver’s license, and ability to travel to the United States. Required Skills: - Industrial computer vision and AI application experience. - Proficiency in Python, C++, and JavaScript; familiarity with CUDA, OpenCL, TensorFlow, PyTorch. - Comfortable with Linux and Windows development environments. - Source control expertise (Git, SVN, or equivalent). - Experience with modular architecture, micro‑services, and multi‑platform deployment. - Intermediate spoken and written English. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. - Minimum 2 years of professional software development experience in a relevant domain.
