Job Description
Job Title: IT Support Intern Role Summary: Provide on‑site and remote IT support to company staff, applying academic knowledge while gaining hands‑on experience with Windows, Linux, macOS, VMware, and network environments. Act as a liaison between end‑users and technical teams, documenting issues and solutions. Expactations: Be paired with an experienced colleague for mentorship. Work on various projects, contributing to daily support tasks and learning through recognized platforms (Google, Microsoft, Cisco, Apple, VMware, Fortinet). Demonstrate quick response to incidents, maintain quality documentation, and align with agile practices. Key Responsibilities: - Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues for desktops, laptops, and mobile devices (Android, iPhone). - Manage Windows desktops (Windows 7–11) and participate in Windows Server administration (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS, NTFS). - Administer VMware virtualized environments and assist with server maintenance. - Support Google Workspace suite, ensuring user access and configuration. - Perform basic network administration tasks, including configuration of Cisco/Fortinet devices and monitoring. - Document incidents, solutions, and procedures in ticketing systems. - Maintain inventory of IT assets and assist in procurement processes. - Communicate status updates to stakeholders and uphold a client‑focused service level. Required Skills: - Proficiency with Windows, Linux, and macOS operating systems. - Familiarity with VMware administration and Windows Server roles (AD, DNS, DHCP). - Experience with mobile device management for Android and iOS. - Working knowledge of Google Workspace tools. - Basic networking concepts and exposure to Cisco/Fortinet products. - Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and problem‑solving abilities. - Excellent teamwork, communication, and English proficiency. - Customer‑centric mindset with the ability to respond quickly to incidents. Required Education & Certifications: - Current enrolment in or recent completion of a DEC, AEC, or DEP in Computer Science/Information Technology. - Knowledge or certifications in VMware, Microsoft, Cisco, or Fortinet are advantageous but not mandatory.
