Job Description
**Job Title**: Engineering Associate Internship **Role Summary**: Internship for undergraduate students to support engineering processes related to gas turbine manufacturing, repair, and service. Focus on root cause analysis, procedural development, and data-driven problem-solving in a technical environment. **Expectations**: Candidates must be enrolled in a relevant degree program and demonstrate technical aptitude, collaboration, and communication skills. Internship requires hands-on project work with limited supervision. **Key Responsibilities**: - Assist engineering teams with root cause investigations (fracture analysis, thermal modeling, failure analysis). - Develop/author manufacturing/repair procedures and corrective actions for nonconformances. - Analyze operational data for trend identification, life extension studies, FMEA, and degradation evaluation. - Publish reports and manage documentation in Product Data Management Systems. - Support vendor evaluations and procurement of materials/equipment per quality standards. - Collaborate with design and planning teams on product specifications and project tasking. - Provide status updates to leadership and coordinate cross-functional project activities. **Required Skills**: - Proficiency in spreadsheet, presentation, and word processing software. - Data analysis and technical documentation skills. - Problem-solving in standardized, multi-variable scenarios. - Effective communication in team settings (written/verbal). - Preferred: Python, MatLab, or C++ programming knowledge. **Required Education & Certifications**: - Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program in Mechanical, Aerospace, Materials Science, Industrial, or Computer Science Engineering. - No certifications required.
