**Job Title** Assistant Manager – Train Operations **Role Summary** Support one of two train operation managers by overseeing the onboard crew (train drivers and service staff). Participate directly in train service during peak periods, manage crew scheduling, performance tracking, and logistics. Provide training and maintain service standards, ensuring compliance with safety, pricing, and operational protocols. **Expactations** * Adhere strictly to safety and psychological aptitude requirements. * Maintain confidentiality and fairness in all personnel matters. * Communicate and implement decisions from management meetings. * Deliver continuous improvement in crew performance and service quality. **Key Responsibilities** - Operate as a crew member (CDT or RCS) during weekends and key schedules. - Draft and verify onboard documentation and performance reports. - Mentor and coach crew on service posture, commercial skills, and pricing policy. - Coordinate snacking and passenger information workflows as designated referent. - Schedule crew rotations, handle travel and accommodation bookings, and oversee equipment provisioning. - Execute daily logistics closing rituals and manage ticket, taxi, and hotel reservations. - Liaise with OUIGO for service updates and disseminate information to onboard teams. **Required Skills** - Proven experience as a train crew member (ASCT or similar). - Strong leadership and team‑management capabilities. - Excellent written and verbal communication, with an emphasis on training. - High level of IT proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). - Rigorous, autonomous, and adept at prioritising tasks. - Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable with rapid change. **Required Education & Certifications** - Current rail crew certification (ASCT, train driver, or equivalent). - Valid safety and psychological aptitude certificates. - Familiarity with SNCF operating procedures and train service standards.
