Job Description
**Job title**: R&D Internship **Role Summary** Support the Research & Development team in product formulation, testing, and industrialisation of chocolate and sweet products. Work alongside the R&D project lead across two production sites, handling sample production, laboratory analysis, supplier coordination, and process optimisation to ensure high‑quality, innovative chocolate offerings. **Expectations** Complete a 6‑month internship beginning in the first quarter of 2026. Engage actively in all project phases, from concept and sampling to lab evaluation and line scale‑up. Demonstrate initiative, problem‑solving, and strong teamwork to contribute to continuous improvement and product innovation. **Key Responsibilities** - Produce and evaluate product samples in the laboratory. - Conduct physico‑chemical, microbiological, and sensory tests, recording results in test reports. - Source raw materials and liaise with suppliers to secure quality inputs. - Manage project timelines, from requirement definition to final validation with formulation and lab trials. - Monitor product ageing and shelf‑life studies. - Assist in the industrialisation of new products and support continuous improvement projects on production line and in the lab. - Contribute to product trend analysis and market surveillance. **Required Skills** - Strong analytical and laboratory skills. - Knowledge of chocolate or confectionery manufacturing processes. - Proficiency in data recording and reporting (Excel, lab software). - Effective communication and teamwork abilities. - Proactive attitude toward problem‑solving and continuous improvement. - Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. **Required Education & Certifications** - Enrolment in a Master’s or Engineering program (Food Technology, Food Science, or related discipline). - Preferably prior internship or experience in chocolate, nutrition, or sweet product development. ---
