Job Description
Job Title: Business Developer Microscopy High‑End Systems – Belux Role Summary: Drive growth of Nikon’s high‑end microscopy portfolio in Belgium and Luxembourg by developing new and existing customer relationships, executing sales strategies, and supporting tender processes. Expectations: - Operate independently while collaborating with the healthcare division. - Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and contribute to market share expansion. - Travel extensively (≈80 % of time) within the Belux region. Key Responsibilities: - Build and nurture medium‑term business contacts with current and prospective customers. - Conduct regular visits, prospecting, and in‑market networking. - Negotiate commercial terms within approved limits and process orders. - Lead tender preparation, including technical documentation and response submissions. - Define short‑ and medium‑term action plans, set KPIs (turnover, profit, opportunity pipeline). - Identify and generate business development opportunities. - Present and demonstrate Nikon’s advanced imaging systems (confocal, multiphoton, TIRF, super‑resolution). - Train customers on system usage and provide ongoing application support. - Support the Wide‑Field Sales Representative in customer base management. Required Skills: - Deep knowledge of high‑end microscopy (confocal, super‑resolution, laser applications, video microscopy). - Strong commercial acumen, sales experience, and customer‑relations aptitude. - Ability to prioritise, plan, and meet deadlines independently. - Fluent in English, Dutch, and French. - Valid driver’s licence; willingness to travel up to 80 % within Belgium and Luxembourg. Required Education & Certifications: - Master’s degree or PhD in biology, chemistry, optics, physics, or a related field. - Valid certification or proven experience in advanced imaging microscopy (preferred).
