**Job Title:** Senior Platform Engineer
**Role Summary:**
Lead the design, implementation, and evolution of continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, developer tooling, and cloud infrastructure to increase engineering efficiency, reliability, and speed. Manage platform projects, mentor small teams, and collaborate with product engineering to deliver intuitive, high‑velocity developer experiences.
**Expectations:**
• 5–8 years of platform, infrastructure, or DevOps engineering in production environments.
• Proven ability to own and scale CI/CD systems and developer tools.
• Experience designing and operating Kubernetes clusters for large teams.
• Strong cloud architecture skills, primarily AWS, with exposure to multi‑cloud (GCP/Azure).
• Proficiency in infrastructure‑as‑code (e.g., Terraform) and scripting (Python, Bash, Go).
• Demonstrated leadership of technical initiatives involving 2–3 engineers.
• Excellent communication, product‑centric thinking, and developer empathy.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Own and continuously improve CI/CD infrastructure: reduce build times, enhance deployment reliability, and enable progressive rollouts.
- Build and maintain developer tooling (CLI, automation, self‑service pipelines) that eliminates repetitive work.
- Design and operate Kubernetes clusters—ensure operability, debuggability, and accessibility.
- Manage cloud resources (AWS, GCP, Azure) for AI workloads and rapid scaling.
- Lead cross‑functional technical projects, define roadmaps, coordinate deliverables, and ensure on‑time delivery.
- Collaborate with product engineering teams to gather feedback and co‑design solutions.
- Develop observability and monitoring dashboards, alerts, and debugging aids.
- Mentor junior platform engineers and promote best practices across the organization.
**Required Skills:**
- CI/CD platform design and optimization (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD, etc.).
- Terraform or equivalent IaC tools; automation with Python, Bash, or Go.
- Kubernetes operations: deployment, scaling, troubleshooting, and abstraction.
- Cloud architecture (AWS core services: EKS, ECS, Lambda, S3, CloudWatch; familiarity with GCP/Azure).
- Shell scripting, Python, or Go for tooling development.
- Strong problem‑solving, architectural design, and stakeholder communication.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or equivalent are advantageous.
