Job Description
Job title: Junior Instructional Designer Role Summary: Create, edit, and manage engaging eLearning and supplemental content for a global workforce, collaborating closely with subject matter experts and leveraging digital tools to enhance learning experiences. Expectations: Work within a cross‑functional HR team; maintain LMS organization; adhere to brand, style, and technical standards; produce materials in English and French; support marketing of training programs; meet changing project priorities. Key Responsibilities: - Administer and update the Learning Management System, ensuring content accuracy and accessibility. - Develop learning outlines, learner profiles, scripts, and storyboards based on SME input. - Design and produce instructional materials across media (written, audio, video, graphics, interactive). - Translate technical documentation into learner‑friendly language; coordinate French translations and voice‑overs. - Create promotional campaigns (email, intranet) to drive training enrollment. - Assist with research, analysis, and evaluation of learning needs. - Collaborate on technical and creative problem‑solving, participating in ideation sessions. - Support HR training lifecycle activities as required. Required Skills: - Strong written and verbal communication; ability to simplify complex information. - Proficiency with eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate) and familiarity with SCORM. - Basic graphic design and video editing (Adobe Creative Cloud suite). - Comfort with digital platforms, LMS management, and multimedia production. - Ability to build relationships with Managers, SMEs, and cross‑functional teams. - Multilingual support (French and English) is a plus. Required Education & Certifications: - Post‑secondary diploma or degree in Instructional Design, Education, Communications, or a related field. - Relevant certification in eLearning authoring or multimedia design preferred.
